My focus as a fashion designer is on creating women's RTW clothing and accessories. I aspire to work in the high fashion industry and gain experience to create my own line. I was born in Ecuador, and I am greatly influenced by my cultural background and society. My love for fashion began at a young age as I would spend my free time drawing and painting. I enjoy working with a mix of media to bring interesting characteristics to my designs that add variety and detail. I have strong skills in pattern-making, draping, construction, tailoring and textile design in both knits and wovens. I am fluent in fashion illustration, technical design, spec packs, working with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesing, Gerber, pattern grading, NedGraphics Easy Weave, Easy Map, Easy Knit, and Easy Coloring. I enjoy developing a collection from concept and trend research to sourcing materials and achieving a perfect fit. In addition to having experience with clothing, sewing leather bags and working with hardware, I would love to learn more about footwear construction. I believe the process of learning is never ending, and this is part of what has kept me interested in fashion. It is constantly changing and forcing one's aesthetic to evolve. I also have experience teaching sewing classes at Harvey Milk Center for the Arts, working with performance wardrobe at Lines Ballet, retail management at Calvin Klein Performance, working with a variety of leather types at LD bags, and large scale production at Circa Corporation as well as fluent Spanish and strong German.
